While I have always had a healthy relationship with food, preferring wholesome, natural nutrition to a diet high in fat or sugar, my digestive system has never shown much appreciation for my efforts to offer it a high quality diet. The SKB Activated Vegan Food seminar has changed the way I eat. I learned a lot about nutrition. It made me realize that sprouts in combination with spices are very tasty but also very healthy meal!

I always was aware to eat healthy but Korina’s seminar not only taught me things that I had never heard of before but made me cook easy and quick. Chickpea sprouts fried with Formula-1 (spice) along with rice is a great meal and has become one of my favorites.

When I met my teacher Korina Kontaxaki i had no idea about the “yogic diet” or *Activated Vegan Food. At first, I thought “this is too much for me” but very soon i realised the importance and bad impact that our cultural-global nutritional habits had on our health. Through her guidance i had soon found out how through changing our eating patterns and habits as human beings we could avoid chronic inherited diseases. How? By changing the environment in which they would normally grow. If we followed our immediate family’s eating habits we would be more prone to chronic inherited diseases. I have found this to be true (experientially). Preparing activated vegan food needs some organising which at first looks like something big or complicated but in fact it is not. After some planing, everything is simplified and works on it’s own. (Trust me, i have an experience in working at Solar Kitchen Bar – Activated Vegan Food for one and a half year!) What is more important though is that we become conscious and mindful about what we eat, how we eat, when we eat and that on it’s own changes our relationship with food. It becomes nurturing instead of emotionally/surviving/stressful eating. It helps us be grounded and connected with our food but more importantly it gives us everything our body needs without hurting anyone. On a physical level, through “activation”, our food is easier to digest, giving us more quality time and more energy through a sense of “lightness” after our meal. On an environmental level, by using only local and seasonal ingredients we contribute to less use of energy (airplanes, ships etc) and we demand less from our earth. *Activated vegan food is a holistic approach to mindful-conscious eating. I started my Yoga training when I was 22yrs in Satyananda Ashram Greece.
